An early morning mist covers a small lake outside of Portland, Oregon on as day breaks in autumn.

ommonwealth Lake Park in the Cedar Hills neighborhood of Beaverton is a nice spot to get in a little bird-watching with a side of people-watching. It’s also a nice place for a run.

This popular naturalistic area has a path of about 1200 m. (.75 mi.) in length around the shore of a man-made lake. It is almost entirely flat with only a couple of wooden footbridges for variety.
